Bed: The place where everyone would rather be right now.
For me, Breakfast in Bed was the only thing that kept me from saying "This was the worst day ever"
Greg works Tuesdays through Saturdays, and he gets Mondays off. So on Monday we plan all of our activities that take time. We only have bikes for transportation so its a real trip when we have to go shopping or do the laundry. But on this Monday, we had a van. Greg's parents allowed us to borrow the van in exchange for fixing it up and getting it ready to sell. So we had several things planned for today and Greg started out by making me pancakes and we ate them between the warm covers together. They were light, fluffy, with butter and sweet syrup. They were the best pancakes I've had so far.
After we cleaned up, we started running our errands. And it just so happened that everywhere we went, something went terribly wrong. EVERY SINGLE ERRAND went bad, it was awful. But the pancakes were great.
Breakfast in bed is an often overlooked romantic luxury. The idea of your husband getting out of bed before you just to surprise you with a wonderful morning treat. It's funny how that little act kept me optimistic throughout the day. If you know the someone you care about is going to have a rough day or already had a rough day. I highly recommend breakfast in bed.
I feel really bad though cause after all that, we still didn't get the van fully fixed. So we will have to try again.
